Do you collect art?

Well, I want to buy art but I can't because art works are way too expensive for me. So far, I have bought only two paintings. I bought these paintings during a charity event where the artist was selling paintings for really cheap price in order to raise funds for flood victims. I bought paintings for $10 each, which otherwise would have cost $200.

I do, actually! It's not the biggest investment but I have four paintings, the cheapest being worth $150 and the most expensive one worth $800. It's more to fill my living room than prospects of making money from it one day though.

Currently, I cannot imagine to spend $150 let alone spending $800 for a single piece of art. Even though I consider art to be an investment, I have no intention of buying arts in order to sell later for a higher price.

It's more an investment for the soul, hehe.

I couldn't imagine spending $150 on art myself nowadays. But once upon a time I had a job while living at home, so I had money without any expenses. That's when you buy art. Or if you're rich.

Are you into NFT art?

Nope! I find it inherently morally wrong to spend to much (actual physical) energy on the processes required for NFTs (or crypto in general for that matter) while we are facing all the problems of climate change that we are.

I agree about the energy consumption to mint NFT or mine crypto for that matter, however, compared to the energy spent on space race this is nothing.

Why resort to whataboutism? Yes, the space race was and continues to spend a lot of energy - what does it have to do with crypto and NFTs?
